“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ - Matthew 25:37-40
We are excited to expand our Mercy and Justice initiatives and look forward sharing the love of God through the CT organization, Community Partners in Action. We seek to extend Matthew 25 compassion to people who are leaving prison after serving their sentences and to help them make a new start. When people leave prison, they are often without the most basic resources that would enable them make a successful transition— rather than fall back into re-offending.
We are inviting everyone to consider donating needed items for Re-Entry Backpacks, which will include essential hygiene items, bus passes, and so on.
Donating is very easy. Use the button below to shop directly from Community Partners in Action’s Wishlist. All donations will be delivered to their offices and into the hands of those who need them most.
Thank you for caring for “the least of these”!
