We are already in the process of planning this summer's youth outreach experience with The Hartford Project (THP)!

All students (even if you’ve attended before) currently in 7th-12th grade who are considering attending THP this summer are required* to attend an informational session with at least one parent/guardian. We will be sharing a little about THP and why SCC participates, as well as an overview of the week, expectations of the students and families, and time and cost commitment. A supper of pizza and salad will be served.

*Can’t make the March 3 meeting? While we hope everyone can come, we realize that some may have unmovable commitments. We will also be hosting a Zoom meeting for students and their parents/guardians on Tuesday, March 12 from 7 to 8pm. If you plan to attend, please connect with Robyn by Wednesday, March 6 so she can send you the Zoom link.

Our annual Summer Outreach Week at the Hartford Project happens June 23rd-27th, 2024! All students who are currently in 7th through 12th grade are invited to join us as we…

• Learn what it means to live out our faith.

• Tap into where God is at work in Hartford and in our lives.

• Learn more about poverty and Jesus’ heart for the poor.

• Meet other teens who are wrestling with what this whole following Jesus thing is about.

• Live, serve, eat, pray, worship, discuss and sometimes even sleep as we share God’s love in our state’s capital, Hartford!

What:

When:

We will be attending Summer Outreach Week 1: Sunday, June 23 to Thursday, June 27, 2024. Registration information will be provided as it becomes available. If your student(s) plan to attend, please let Robyn know by April 7th!

Where:

THP home base is South Church, 227 Main Street, Hartford, CT. During the week, we travel throughout the city to service sites, dinners out, and a Love Wins Neighborhood Block Party.

Who:

Students who are completing 7th-12th grade may participate.
