Deep Roots

We are dedicated to seeing your kids and teens develop a personal faith in Chris; actively seeking His will for their life, and beginning to learn what it means to step out in service to others.

A faith rooted in Christ gives our children a firm foundation to meet the storms of life and thrive. This process is intentional, dynamic and at the heart of what we do.

We plant seeds of faith by facilitating caring relationships between children and leaders, teaching scripture, partnering with parents to support and encourage, and by providing opportunities for our kids to serve.

Sunday Morning

We believe that in order to make a big impact in the lives of our children we have to think small. At SCC our children are taught and discipled through Sunday Morning Small Groups—rather than traditional Sunday School. The small group model is a research-based, relationship-driven, discipleship approach that connects kids to Jesus by connecting them to adults who know Jesus. Small group time consists of teaching, discussion, and themed activities. Sunday Morning Small Groups happen weekly during the service for all our kids.*

*Teen ministry meets on a different schedule. Please see our teen’s ministry page for the 8th-12th grade schedule.

We are a Safe Church.

SCC has policies in place to ensure we are providing an environment that promotes the safety and well-being of all. All Small Group Leaders, assistants and nursery volunteers have been trained in our Safe Church protocols.

Partnering with Parents

Every parent wants to be a better parent. Our desire is to be a church community that supports, encourages and educates parents so they can be all that God designed them to be. Children thrive when church and family are working together.

Stepping out in Service

Kids want to make a difference in their world. Whether serving at the soup kitchen, participating in Adopt-A-Family at Christmas or helping out at the No-Freeze Shelter, our children are encouraged to live their faith. We teach and model that life following Christ involves serving and caring for others.
